2009 GEORGETOWN FAIR DEDICATION
Norma Davis and Barb Jones
The Georgetown
Fair is pleased to honor Norma Davis and Barb Jones with
the dedication of the 2009 Georgetown Fair. These two ladies are
richly deserving. They have produced one of our fair’s
grandstand shows for 30 years. Their promotion, organization and
presentation of our Georgetown Fair Talent Contest has been a special
event each year. Their efforts are appreciated by our Georgetown
Fair Family.
Norma and Barb are
retiring from the Talent Show Directors after the 2009 Fair. They
will be missed. Their consistent efforts to excel and for the
show to be outstanding entertainment have made this activity one of our
most enjoyable shows for years.
The most important
aspect of the Talent Show is the opportunity it offers for our
youth. The chance to perform “under the lights” on
stage in front of the crowd is a great experience for our youth.
Norma and Barb have sent many winners to the annual state competition
in Springfield. They have consistently had Top 10
finalists with several winning the state.
Norma and Barb,
your leaving creates a void in the hearts of our fair association
supporters. Your generous and constant efforts on behalf of the
fair will be missed by many fair enthusiasts.
The Georgetown
Fair is pleased and proud to dedicate the 2009 Georgetown Fair to Norma
and Barb. You have certainly earned the honor. Thank you
both for your many contributions.
2009 PREMIUM BOOK DEDICATION
Colleen Morrison
It is with great
pride and a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect that the
Georgetown Fair proudly dedicates our 2009 Premium Book to Colleen
Morrison, Superintendent of our Home Economics Antique
Department. Colleen is retiring from her position after the 2009
fair. She will be greatly missed.
Colleen is a
worker. She works for days ahead of the fair opening to make
certain her exhibit space is clean and that all needed equipment is in
place and functioning correctly. She is dedicated to making her
exhibit better each fair season. She has worked hand in hand with
her cohorts and has participated in representing the fair theme in
their exhibit presentation. These efforts have won two 1st place
awards from the International Association of Fairs and Exhibitions for
Best Use of a Fair Theme.
Colleen Morrison
is an icon in the Home Ec. Department at the Georgetown Fair. We
wish her well as she retires from her fair duties. Colleen, the
Georgetown Fair Association is pleased to dedicate our 2009 Premium
Book in your honor. You richly deserve it.
